For anyone who does anything relating to the “music industry”

January 11, 2008

You all should read this.  Seriously, it’s very good and worth your time.  I haven’t listened to all the side-bar audio clips or songs and interviews yet, but that adds even more great information and opinion.  Thanks again Wired.

The Top 10 New Organisms of 2007

Well, if I’m not just a super geek, but, dang, I think that these things are just awesome and most carry such potential.  I also want to give a shout-out to Wired magazine for being so wonderfully cool.

Thankful 3.2

December 18, 2007

I admit that I’ve been having a really hard time being thankful today.  It is not a good day.  We found out how much the repairs on the car will cost us, and it ain’t pretty.  I’m thankful for the small amount of savings that we had, even though when we pay the mechanic there won’t be much left.  This is where being thankful and praying for God to provide us go hand-in-hand.

Thankful 3.1

I’m thankful for running water.  You forget how awesome it is until you temporarily lose it.

Thankful 2.6 (weekend edition)

I’m thankful for Christmas parties where you can see old friends, eat good food, and sit on someone elses comfy couch.  I’m also thankful that when I feel crappy, I can sit on my own couch underneath a blanket and watch football on Sundays.

I’m not afraid of rats…

but maybe if I came across one of these I’d feel differently.  Wow.

8 years of life captured

December 17, 2007

This is pretty cool.  Eight years is a long time.  Can’t imagine what it would look like if I did the same thing.

Thankful 2.5

The things I’m listing for Friday, started on Thursday (see previous post) but I feel as if I had more time to reflect on them the following day.  I’m very thankful for my new bathroom.  Yes, I have an almost new bathroom.  While I was at work and then dealing with breaking down on the Ben Franklin Br. during evening rush hour traffic, Dave and our friend Matt, replaced almost everything in our bathroom as a surprise to me.  I didn’t get home that day until 9:30pm (it’s a LONG story) but when I did, I saw a new sink/vanity, toilet, fixtures in the shower and a new floor.  All I blurted out when I saw it was “what did you do?!?”  All Dave said to that was “Merry Christmas.”  Now that my friends is something to be thanful for.

Thankful 2.4

Boy, I’m really bad at keeping up on a day-to-day basis.  Still, I’m committed to finishing this out.

So, a whole bunch of stuff happened this past Thursday.  It is truly worth it’s own post.  It will probably go down as one of the weirdest and most memorable days of my life.  I just don’t have time to go into right now.  Nonetheless, I am thankful for the DRBA cops assistance getting my car off the Ben Franklin bridge in rush hour traffic.  I am thankful for AAA always coming to the rescue.  I’m thankful that I didn’t freak out (well, I freaked out a bit at the very beginning) when loosing my transmission and backing up traffic.  I’m thankful that God kept me safe and took care of me.  There’s way more to be thankful for on that day, but I’m saving it and using it for Friday’s thanfulnesses.

Thankful 2.3

Now that I’m all caught up…  I’m so thankful for lunch.  I’m really hungry, so I’ll go eat lunch now.
